Technological warfare is now engaged
as public pages are temporarily erased
to raise awareness of coming change-
the censorship of the modern times,
in exchange for the unpaid royalties
still owed to web design, vocal rhymes.
So the information age is under siege.
And this black plague incites rage,
enticing those dismayed to stand
in protest against the intent to protect
the pirated collections of artistic minds-
with blacked out names on blacked out pages.
What statement are we making now?
That we delight in privilege not rights?
What we desire, we demand for free,
are driven by these wants, by greed.
Sadly, someone had to pay for these-
freedoms our nation now takes for granted.
